With this in mind here are a few companies that pay home-based workers $10 or more per hour, allowing you to work full-time comfortably from home.


This company is looking for those who want to be a Virtual Assistant. However, if you want to work at home for Byron, you’ll be required to show that you’ve had at least 3 year of experience working as an executive assistant or a Virtual Assistant. Another requirement is that you MUST reside in the United States, as opportunities for this work at home positions is only open to U.S. residents.

If you do get hired by Byron, expect starting pay at $12-15 per hour. This pay will increase as you gain experience at Byron.


This company hires work at home tutors to teach a wide variety of school subjects. Tasks may include helping students study certain subjects and help them pass tests or helping students with their homework assignments. The tutoring sessions may take place on Skype video chat or through Apple face-time, though this all depends your teaching preference or the student’s learning preference.

Tutors on Chegg can expect to earn $15 per hour. Payment through Paypal is deposited weekly each Friday.

Stitch Fix

This company offers work at home job opportunities for fashion stylists with great eye to details. You’ll be required to select a number of items from a customer’s fashion box, which would be sent to the shipping address the customer gives you. If the customer likes what you chose for them and ends up buying the items, you’ll earn that sale.

Stitch Fix requires applicants to be 18 years old or older. You’ll be required attend some offsite training before Stitch allows you to take the job. All stylists are paid $15 per hour, but this will go higher as you move up to higher positions within the company.


Looking to teach English to Chinese kids? Tutors who work at home here may make up to $18 per hour by teaching English. A bachelors degree in any subject and teaching experience are required.

Worldwide 101

This is another Virtual Assistant company looking for independent contractors. However, unlike Chegg, Worldwide 101 has work at home job opportunities open to anyone around the world, hence the name Worldwide. Here you’ll be assigned to handle clerical work and handling administrative tasks. The requirements you’ll need is having a reliable internet connection, updating anti-virus software, and a webcam.

Starting hourly pay is between $15-20. As you gain experience expect this pay to increase. Payments are deposited into your Paypal account twice a month.
